Let's Talk Autism

This group is for anybody here at Minds who wants to talk autism. It isn't just a clique-y group for those who ARE on the autism spectrum themselves or for those who have LOVED ones - children, siblings, spouses etc. - on the autism spectrum. Anyone who truly WANTS to learn more about what autism is and how it affects those living with it is welcome. There are no rules (well, there's ONE..., as a member OF this group you cannot block the creator, that's just bad form 🀨), this is an open - currently unmoderated - group where you can talk/ask about anything and everything autism related, as long as you keep it somewhat CIVIL. You participate at your own discretion - don't talk about things you don't want others to know about. Also, if there's anything written/mentioned in a post or comment that you don't understand for whatever reason, just ASK. Someone will be able to explain it to you. There ARE no stupid questions. Based on my own experiences with Adderall and flawed ADHD diagnoses, I'm inclined to say yes. (No one knew what Asperger's was the first time they tried diagnosing me with something like ADD/ADHD back in 1992.) Like the people interviewed in this LONG article, Adderall did NOT...See more

"'Twas the night before Halloween, and all through the house, all the creatures were stirring, except for the mouse. The monsters had gathered to plan and prepare, for the trick-or-treaters who soon would be there..." We wish you all a Happy Halloween - stay safe, and enjoy. WE most definitely will! ❀️ -Mrs. (& Mr.) entryreqrd #october31st #scarymovies #candy #snugglingonthecouch

Is autism still being discussed on here? I'm a neurocognitive scientist, been studying the condition for 20+ years.

Seriously..., you call this TRUTH?!? "The reason there are no baby boomers with autism..." Let me stop you (or rather your "friend") right there. No baby boomers (born between 1946 – 1964) with autism? Hold my beer. Autism as a DIAGNOSIS didn't really come about until the...See more
