Today, April 2nd, is International Autism Awareness Day. All of April is Autism Awareness Month.
This year I have lived exactly as long KNOWING that I have a form of autism as I've lived NOT knowing AT ALL.
I turn 56 in May, and I received my late-in-life diagnosis at the age of 28. That diagnosis had only existed for a few years at the time, so I really COULDN'T have gotten it as a child.
I don't celebrate my autism, I celebrate my AUTISM DIAGNOSIS! -Mrs. entryreqrd
