Meaning of life

Talking about the meaning of life is very difficult. Aristotle posited it as happiness, for Maritain it was moral good. I think it's a mix: cultivating virtues in one's life leads to happiness. As mathematicians would say, virtues are "necessary and sufficient conditions," not, as the Epicureans maintained, merely sufficient.
