Prairie Sunflower

Helianthus Petiolaris Samsung S21 Smartphone Bellemont, Arizona The flower seemed to be confused as it was growing in the mountains rather than the prairies.😏 I saw many of them near the interstate from New Mexico and into Arizona. In those areas I only saw them at higher elevations probably due to lack of water at lower elevations in that area. Prairie Sunflowers grow throughout the USA, Southern Canada and Northern Mexico.
