I live in North Sacramento and just down the street is part of the bike trail. There is a large number of feral cats on the trail because the police throughout all the homeless and apparently a few cats that were left not fixed were left behind... Then some really special non-thinking people have been going out and feeding them... There is a lot more than a few cats out there now... The drought really took out a lot of trees in the area and the oaks that we have left throughout the region still are not healthy in many areas to this day, and little ecological disasters such the one happening right now is not going to help. And yes I believe that this is a little disaster because the cats have killed off all most everything out along the creeks including all the frogs. This I am pretty is not good news for the sick oak trees, but I am no expert. Please post in comments and submit articles here in the group. Thank you
