I had bought some stinging nettles locally last(?) year. Looking like a proper little patch now. Might harvest a few or might let them go this year and start harvesting next year. Seems I did well on site selection and they are naturalizing well.
This is why we don't plant most of our stuff until June. I wish it was actually raining like it is showing. We haven't had a decent rain yet this year, just a couple quick sprinkles.
We are going to cover the bushes (like the Haskaps) that are flowering with a tarp the next two nights.
I've had horseradish in the garden a couple of years now, this is the first time it has bloomed. Honestly, a little shocked at how nice they smell, but yeah, weirdly it seems like carpet beetles really like them 🤷♀️

Not the best picture but there is my garden menace, Bertha. Consumer of pea shoots and seeds, creator of random tree sprout stashes, and grand hole digger extraordinaire.
The collards I planted last autumn are mostly bolting, so I finally went and picked most of the larger leaves off the one plant for dinner last night. Been harvesting chives from the garden, but it was the first real meal from the garden for 2026.

Yes, I resorted to getting a bench feeder to try to keep Bertha out of my last attempt at sowing peas.
Also figured I'd show some things from my deep shade garden including columbines, ramps, and native ginger (which is flowering).
