We were lucky that the network held, in France, thanks to their nuclear power, obviously!

Spain / Portugal - it was definitely the "green", i.e. wind & solar energy

Spain blackout: All fingers point to a spike of solar power in the grid. Red Eléctrica warned about the risks associated with renewable energy back in February. The official estimate is that data centers will require 2x more energy by 2030, mostly due to AI 🤔 Total consumption for data centers will correspond to the total energy use of Japan. The human brain remains unsurpassed in terms of IQ per Joul. They had better start optimizing those AI processors!
