Science & Technology News & Debates

Science and technology are and have always been the most powerful tools of social transformation. It is essential to understand fundamental scientific concepts, to grasp the most advanced technologies and their implications and especially to reject scientific fraud, which is often committed at the highest levels of the scientific establishment. "If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong. In that simple statement is the key to science. It doesn't make any difference how beautiful your guess is, it doesn't matter how smart you are who made the guess, or what your name is... If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong."-- Prof.Feynman PS: I absolutely LOVE https://sci-hub.se/ - it gives everyone access to every published scientific study without having to be a member of an institution or paying ruinous fees. This is how it should be! It prevents the creation of a scientific "class" that can retain information from the people. This is all the more necessary as the Great Reset attempts to enslave us with fake science about "vaccines", nutrition and the climate.

Survivor bias

I guess you all know how this works, right? Airplanes that returned safely from bombing runs were examined. All areas that had suffered bullet holes were considered "non-essential", as the plane still made it back. But areas that had NOT been hit were considered "essential", as they had allowed the airplane to return. That's actually an good way of looking at reality, though not necessarily exhaustive. Ford did the same - they examined old cars and checked which parts had NOT failed - then made those parts weaker.

The fact that AMD did create a fab in the US is excellent news - it makes the world far less vulnerable to a Chinese attack on Taiwan. All the big chip manufacturers should create fabs around the world. If China actually tries to invade Taiwan, they can blow up their factories there, so they can't get their hands on the technology. https://www.techspot.com/news/108791-amd-ceo-lisa-su-us-made-tsmc-chips.html
