Heat waves were much worse in the 19th century and from the 1920s to the 1930s than today

In July of 1860, Manhattan, KS observed 25 days with high temperatures ≥100°F. Only July 1934 exceeds that with 27 days. Temperatures peaked on July 9th, 1860 reaching an incredible 115°F. That would be tied on July 24, 1936 and broken less than a month later on August 13, 1936.

For weeks, the temperatures have been BELOW THE 40 YEAR AVERAGE over most of the planet - substantially! That includes Greenland, Antarctica, most of Europe, Africa, Asia and large parts of the Americas. Clearly, CO2 does NOT retain heat!
