Is Zack that important? Sure Cloud basically took on his persona, but in the grand scheme of things Zack likely would have never had an expanded story without the success of FF7. He may have an inflated importance, in reality. 🤔

Sad. I said, years ago when FF:TSW killed the studio and they merged with Enix that if any part of the company was going to suffer it would be the Squaresoft side. Enix and Dragonquest are bigger in Japan than even FF, and there is no way Enix would let DQ die.
