Remember when a Democrat tried to ban Qanon?

https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-resolution/1154/text The real nature of Qanon was more like Operation Trust, a Soviet scheme to find anti-Soviet "traitors" - they shared some truthful information that roped in some "believers". They then were fed a string of further facts, approximations and absolute BS, which made them look stupid to the average person. That's exactly what Qanon did. I don't think they informed many Democrats or media people about the real nature of Qanon. That would have defeated the goal.

Pernicious manipulation

This is what they do with climate data all the time - they shift the color scale so that it looks like temperatures are very high even when the temperatures are virtually unchanged compared to the same time period in the past. In this case, they did it with the groundwater levels in France. While the levels really did drop, the color shift makes it look much more dramatic. Using the 2024 coloring scheme, all the yellow would be green and the blue would look a lot brighter.
