It's just a matter of wanting to know what it actually is – to get to the causal factors... the WHY. Not many want to face that. They want change, but they don't want TO change.

Most people consider themselves very capable thinkers, and maybe they are, who knows.
At the same time, most people forget that it's FEELING driving them.
I'd like you to observe how your own feelings affect your own thought. Then I'd like you to observe how aware people generally are of these effects, in the moment it happens to them.
Only when aware of this cause and effect chain, people can make an attempt to influence the chain of events.
Potential approaches are reasoning with- or trying to make sense of feelings. These approaches quickly turn into a struggle, so I don;t recommend them.
